Refund and Return Policy

Overview
Thank you for shopping with Black Girls Hair Rocks. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not happy, we offer returns, refunds, and exchanges subject to the terms outlined in this policy.
Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following conditions: the return request must be made within 30 days of the delivery date; the item must be unused, unworn, and in its original condition; the item must be in its original packaging with all tags attached; and you must provide proof of purchase (order confirmation email or receipt).
Non-Returnable Items
For health, safety, and hygiene reasons, the following items cannot be returned: any product that has been opened, used, worn, or tried on; items with broken seals or removed tags; products that show signs of use, wear, or damage by the customer; gift cards; and items marked as final sale at the time of purchase.
We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions or that we reasonably believe shows signs of use, fraud, or abuse of our return policy.
How to Initiate a Return
To initiate a return, don’t hesitate to contact us at hello@bghrs.com with your order number and the reason for your return. Our team will review your request and, if approved, provide you with return instructions. Please do not send items back without first receiving return authorization.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item. Black Girls Hair Rocks is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed within 5-7 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please note that, depending on your financial institution, the refund may take additional time to appear in your account.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., the wrong item was shipped or the product is defective).
Store Credit
As an alternative to a refund, you may choose to receive store credit for the value of your returned item. Store credit will be issued within 5-7 business days of receiving your return and will be sent to the email address associated with your order. Store credit does not expire.
Exchanges
We offer exchanges for items of equal or lesser value, subject to availability. If you would like to exchange an item for a higher-priced item, you will be responsible for paying the difference. To request an exchange, don’t hesitate to contact us at hello@bghrs.com with your order number and the item you would like to exchange for.
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective item, don’t hesitate to contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@bghrs.com. Include your order number and photos of the damaged or defective item. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly, which may include sending a replacement or issuing a full refund, including original shipping costs.
Wrong Item Received
If you receive the wrong item, don’t hesitate to contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@bghrs.com. We will provide a prepaid return label and send you the correct item as quickly as possible.
Fraud Prevention
We reserve the right to refuse returns, refunds, or exchanges if we suspect fraudulent activity or abuse of our return policy or if items have been used, worn, or altered. We may also limit or refuse returns from customers with excessive return histories. All returns are subject to inspection, and we reserve the right to refuse a refund if the item does not meet our return conditions.
